Q.It’s flying by, but you just joined GALE earlier this year. Can you tell us about your role as Creative Director?
I joined GALE to work with MilkPEP on the “You’re Gonna Need Milk for That” campaign. I’ve also worked on our stunt featuring Olympic cyclist Kristin Armstrong and karate champ Ariel Torres which highlights milk’s ability to fuel athletic performance. Now I am very excited with the work that we have been developing for an NFL partnership.
Q: Are there any design tools or trends you’re excited about?
Not necessarily a trend, but I have been excited to explore the look and feel of real social-first content. Like how the native visual language of platforms like Tik Tok influence the work we do across design, editing and branding.
Q: In your role, what do you think is missing from creative work today?
Marketing can be such a transformative force, from campaigns that impact and shape culture to socially engaged work driving positive change in the world. We have been seeing more work that goes beyond the notion of bringing awareness for issues but creates concrete steps for solutions. The industry is already heading there, but I think there’s still a long way to go.
Q. The One Club just ranked you as one of the best CDs in the world at the ADC Awards. What advice would you give to someone aspiring to get into a creative role?
Marketing is about teamwork. Be collaborative, approachable, and excited about the work you do.
Q.What do you think sets GALE apart from other companies?
I believe GALE has a unique and talented group of people working together in a very collaborative environment. From different groups inside the company to the partnership and collaboration with the clients.
Q. When you’re not at work, you’re…
Probably hanging out with my friends in a backyard. There is also my dog Benny and printmaking.
Q. Who or what inspires you?
My family and friends inspire me a lot. We built this diverse community that creates, shares references, critiques, and supports each other.
